Position Financial Crime Analyst – NAB Overview Bring your experience in Transaction Monitoring and join the Financial Crime team within Technology Enablement & Operations. What You’ll Do Maintain strong financial crime governance. Ensure financial crime accountability and governance across the organisation and create world‑class monitoring and surveillance programs based on best practice. Determine grounds of unusual activity by reviewing complex transaction activity in connection to generated alerts and other sources and document findings in line with policy and procedure. Perform transaction monitoring and customer investigations to help prevent and stop the use of NAB’s products and services to facilitate financial crime and other illegal activity. Analyse customer profiles and activity through a mixture of automated and manual alerts. Draw conclusions by appropriately documenting evidence and outcomes, in line with policies and procedures. Proactively manage risk, meeting all policy and compliance requirements; perform controls; adhere to process and procedures; and accelerate escalation of events, issues or breaches as they are identified. Ensure necessary reports and documentation are completed accurately and on time. What You’ll Bring At least 2 years’ experience in Transaction Monitoring / AML Investigations. Overall 4+ years of experience working in a relevant role in Financial Services, locally or globally, and/or equivalent experience in investigative roles, such as law enforcement, regulatory environments, government bodies or financial services. Ability to analyse documentation, draw conclusions and resolve complex issues. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and strong spelling and grammar. General understanding of banking products and the Australian Financial Services market. SharePoint, SQL and report‑building skills – highly valued.
