Financial Crime Analyst Join to apply for the Financial Crime Analyst role at Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer . About the Role We are seeking multiple experienced financial crime analysts to join our Australia & Asia Financial Crime Team. You will be a subject‑matter expert and trusted adviser to the partnership and lawyers on financial crime compliance. This includes applying the firm's AML/CTF policies and procedures in respect of client & matter due diligence, risk assessments, complex and/or high‑risk queries and reputational risk advice. Qualifications 1‑2 years demonstrable experience in a Financial Crime environment in a regulated sector, or with a regulatory body or law enforcement. Tertiary degree and/or qualification in CDD/Compliance or work experience in a financial crime environment in the regulated sector, or with a regulatory body or law enforcement. Ability to handle complex and confidential matters with total discretion. Proactive approach and desire to be an integral member of a leading, supportive team. Capability to work to tight timeframes, collaboratively and at times autonomously. Excellent communication skills and ability to demonstrate collegiality within a team. A hunger to learn, develop, and help maintain a market‑leading practice. The Team The Financial Crime team is part of the New Business Intake and Enterprise Risk ("NBI & ER") function and is well established globally. It is embarking on an exciting journey to align with anticipated new regulations in Australia and shifting markets worldwide. The Australian team is primarily based in Sydney and Melbourne, and we work closely with our global colleagues in the UK and Asia.
