Responsibilities Supervise and support young people in custody, following important security procedures. Set boundaries and reinforce expected behaviours as a positive role model for complex young people. Create a safe and secure environment for staff and young people. Help young people establish healthy routines and work to a daily structure. Redirect anti-social and challenging behaviour to the standards expected by the community. Respond to incidents as they occur. Help young people develop positive family and peer relationships. Facilitate support from other services, including health and mental health providers, educators and disability organisations. Benefits 9 weeks of fully paid training.
