About the role As a Senior Consultant in the Canberra office of ACIL Allen, you will work across all aspects of our economic and public policy advisory portfolio, including: Development of methodologies and proposals, Gathering and analysing information, Client liaison and management, Research, report writing, and stakeholder engagement. You will have the opportunity to develop your advisory skills in economics and public policy by undertaking complex, challenging, and high-profile engagements under the guidance of highly-skilled leaders, experts and scholars in the field. About you To succeed in this role, you should meet the following requirements : Bachelor's degree or higher in an appropriate quantitative or economics-based discipline (e.g., economics, statistics, mathematics, finance). Ability to work with or create economic models and develop insights through rigorous analysis and practical understanding of markets and incentive structures. At least 5+ years of experience in economics, regulation, and public policy advice in government or consulting. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing. Self-driven with the ability to work independently or in teams. Additional desirable qualities for the role are: Advanced analytical skills in Microsoft Excel. Developed analytical skills in other analytical toolkits (e.g., R, Python, GEMPACK). Previous experience in relevant economic modelling areas (e.g., general-equilibrium analysis, input-output modelling, cost-benefit analysis, or demographic/workforce modelling).
