About Spectrum Space Spectrum Space is a not-for-profit organisation that provides a range of services for kids on the autism spectrum. We see incredible potential for young autistic individuals. Our mission is to deliver quality services to young Western Australians with autism to enable them to connect successfully with others and the world around them. Program Details The Telethon Holiday Makers Program runs during the school holidays and provides a safe and inclusive environment for our neuro‑diverse kids to grow in confidence and build connection with their peers. Responsibilities Assist in the supervision of autistic young people. Prepare materials and set the environment for the activities, and pack up after the activities. Encourage participants to interact with one another and to participate in activities. Record weekly observations, goals and case notes throughout the term. Join in on the activities, creating an environment of fun and inclusivity. Qualifications Ability to autonomously engage participants and assist with set up/pack up and all group activities. Ability to care for children/teenagers/young adults with a disability. Ability to follow detailed instructions. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Well‑developed communication and interpersonal skills. Working with Children Check. NDIS Worker Screening Clearance. Additional Information Category: Community Services Commitment: Regular – less than 6 months Type of Work: Companionship & Social Support, Disability Support Time Required: Pick a day or a few days in the month of January to help out with our Telethon Holiday Makers Program. 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
