Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care / ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney's western suburbs, providing world‑class clinical facilities, services, and care. We are seeking a motivated and adaptable team member to support the delivery of high‑quality care in our Emergency Department. In this role, you will provide assistance to medical and nursing staff with clinical procedures, subject to appropriate training and credentialing, including venepuncture, intravenous cannulation, and other technical tasks. You will work under the direction of senior medical officer and nursing team leader, contributing to both clinical and administrative functions that ensure smooth patient care. What You Will Bring To The Role Well‑developed time management and organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently with set deadlines. Ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team and ability to work independently. Demonstrated good communication skills in English and the ability to read and understand essential documentation. Previous experience in health care and / or education in health related field. Demonstrated computer literacy including proficient keyboard and data entry skills. Availability and capacity to participate in a 24 hour / seven‑day rotating roster which includes working all shifts, all days of the week including public holidays, able to work reasonable overtime. Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
