Senior Project Manager – Early Development Home-Based | Australia ICON is expanding its Early Development team and we’re seeking a Senior Project Manager to help drive early phase clinical studies across Australia and New Zealand, with opportunities to support projects in North America and Europe. This is a pioneering role in the APAC region—ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys early development work, able to work autonomously and is ready to help shape a growing portfolio. What You Will Be Doing Lead and manage early phase clinical studies across ANZ and additional global regions as needed. Develop and execute project plans, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and client expectations are met. Site Management activities including oversight of site start up and clinical monitoring. Guide global cross-functional teams and maintain strong stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle. Participate in bid defense meetings, confidently presenting operational strategies and delivery plans. Provide mentorship, prepare high-quality documentation, and drive continuous improvement. Apply strong knowledge of ANZ regulations and stay current on global requirements to support best-in-class study delivery. Your Profile Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field. Demonstrated strong clinical project management experience within pharma, biotech, or CRO environments. Genuine interest in early development/Phase I studies; Experience with FIH and ClinPharm studies is preferred. Experience with managing clinical monitoring activities Solid understanding of Australian and New Zealand regulatory requirements. Experience in bid defenses or client-facing proposal discussions is a plus. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
