About the Role CareSouth is looking for a permanent, full time Caseworker tojoin our team in Wagga Wagga. At CareSouth we strive to encourage safety, healing andconnection through healthy relationships. Supporting families,children and young people is core to our values. As a Caseworkeryou will be a part of a team which works dynamically across thechild protection spectrum, from family preservation, permanencysupport, restoration and adoption. What you need to be successful in your role Demonstrate a commitment to the safety of children, youngpeople and people with a disability. Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Diploma in SocialSciences / Social Welfare or equivalent or working towards Demonstrated understanding of the issues facing vulnerablechildren and their families. Sound interpersonal, facilitation and conflict resolutionskills. Ability to work autonomously and as a part of a highperforming team. Proven ability to establish and maintain effectivecommunity networks. Demonstrated high level verbal and written communicationskills.Understanding and commitment to Equal EmploymentOpportunity, Work Health and Safety, Cultural issues and theNSW Child Protection system. Willing to undergo a National Police Clearance and obtain a(NSW) Working with Children Check clearance number and/or (ACT)Working with Vulnerable People Card.
