Family Support and Inclusion Officer – West Melbourne Join Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten in the newly opened West Melbourne centres to support children and families during their earliest and most important years. Location: West Melbourne VIC Employment type: Part time (20–37.5 hours per week) Seniority level: Entry level Job function: Child Welfare, Youth and Family Services Standards: No credentials beyond a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or above; first aid, CPR, asthma, anaphylaxis, and reporting training required. Assist children to settle, feel safe and form connections in rooms. Provide practical behavioural guidance to families and educators. Model inclusion strategies while working hands‑on with children. Initiate sensitive conversations when behavioural or developmental concerns arise. Connect families with community resources and support services. Guide families through government funding processes, including ISS. Work closely with Centre Leadership Teams, Room Leaders and educators to support each child’s wellbeing. Qualifications Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or above. Strong experience working directly with children in early‑years settings. Warm and confident communicator able to build trust with families. Skilled at supporting child behaviour and emotional regulation. Comfortable initiating sensitive or challenging conversations. Understanding of child development, community supports and early intervention. Current First Aid / CPR / Asthma / Anaphylaxis training. Current Employee Working with Children Check.
