Casework Manager – Mid North Coast NSW Department of Communities and Justice Location Mid North Coast District – Coffs Harbour, Kempsey, Port Macquarie, Taree Overview Lead a team of Caseworkers and Casework Support Workers to deliver child‑centred practice across the district. This is a talent pool recruitment for future ongoing and temporary roles. Salary Grade 9 – $125,693 – $129,228 pa plus superannuation and annual leave loading. Responsibilities Lead daily priorities and resource allocation for the casework team. Provide effective supervision, practice change and quality assurance. Prepare legal documentation and manage court proceedings. Mentor staff and manage performance and timeframes. Collaborate with community partners and drive operational improvement. Engage in consultation with senior leaders on sensitive matters. Duties Practicing effective group and individual supervision. Leading practice and practice change through feedback and mentoring. Quality assurance of information and records for children and young people. Preparation and review of legal documentation and court matters. Initiate court proceedings and support caseworkers in court matters. Engage in professional development and partnership collaboration. Contributing to operational and policy issues and change management. Qualifications Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Social Science, Welfare or related discipline. Demonstrated experience applying best practice casework with children and families. Experience leading and managing teams in high‑volume work area.
