We’re looking for a Planner / Scheduler to join our Head Office team in Newcastle. This pivotal role owns the real-time planning and scheduling of all project milestones, from job creation through to installation. You’ll ensure the teams in design, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, freight, and production are synchronized, maintaining the schedule as the single source of truth. As the central point of communication, you’ll enable smooth project handovers, optimise resources, and meet client expectations and deadlines. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and drive the Master Production Schedule across all project phases. Partner with Sales to forecast upcoming projects and establish accurate lead times for quoting and delivery. Coordinate engineering, design, procurement, manufacturing, inspections, freight, and production schedules. Monitor progress, identify risks, and take proactive action to keep plans on track. Provide weekly updates and lead production and scheduling meetings. Contribute to continuous improvement by refining scheduling processes and optimising resource use. About You Experience in planning and scheduling within a complex, multi-stage project and manufacturing environment. Strong problem-solving skills to quickly identify and resolve disruptions. Ability to work under tight deadlines and high pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Clear understanding of how operational inputs (sales, project management, engineering, design, procurement, manufacturing, and installation) feed into the schedule. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels. High integrity and a business-first mindset, balancing project priorities with organisational goals. Experience using MS Project, ERP, or a similar planning tool. A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and resource optimisation. Self-motivation and the ability to independently lead the scheduling function and prioritise tasks to achieve objectives.
