Environmental Coordinator – Heck Group Location: Woongoolba, QLD | Full-time | Immediate Start Available The Heck Group's Sugar Mill and Cogeneration operations is seeking an environmental coordinator to join its environmental management team. About the Role The role reports and receives instruction from the environmental manager, assisting in compliance with site Environmental Authorities for its operations. This work involves hands‑on monitoring and reporting, focusing on compliance, and the development of environmental strategies to foster continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities On‑site monitoring and reporting: Conducting daily, weekly RE inspections. Risk assessment and management: Identify potential environmental impacts and implement control measures to mitigate them. Policy and strategy: Assist in the development and implementation of environmental policies, plans, and strategies. Reporting: Prepare compliance reports and assessments for effective environmental programs such as waste minimization or pollution control. Assist in the amalgamation of EAs and negotiation of a new approval. Stakeholder engagement: Liaise with government departments, community groups, and other stakeholders to foster strong working relationships. About You To succeed in this role, you’ll ideally need: Experience in environmental compliance and managing EAs. Hands‑on sampling, monitoring and analysis using field instruments (DO, pH, etc). Preferably local to the site. A willingness to work outside normal hours if required (weekends). What We Offer Secure, long‑term employment with a proud local employer.
