Department of Health Tasmania – Hobart TAS An exciting opportunity exists within the Department of Health as a Social Work Assistant in a multidisciplinary team providing high quality health and wellbeing services to young people aged 12-24. The Role Assist the Youth Health Team (including Social Workers and Nurses) to deliver services to clients and their families and provide high level administrative support. Key Responsibilities Under the direct supervision of a Youth Health team member or in accordance with an approved work plan: Assist clients with the completion and lodging of forms. Refer, direct and/or accompany patients to health and other service areas. Participate in the design, preparation, implementation and evaluation of group sessions. Provide high level administrative support to the service including: Receiving initial presentations and phone calls from young people and referrers. Taking client and referral details and passing onto Youth Health Staff. Making appointments and arranging reminders. Technical Support Spreadsheet collation. Social media interaction. Details of Appointment Permanent part‑time day worker position, working 60.8 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Salary and Benefits Salary: $67,193 to $72,126 per annum (Pro‑rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
