About The Royal Melbourne Hospital As one of the largest health services in Victoria, and a team of more than 10,000 strong, we provide a comprehensive range of specialist medical, surgical, and mental health services, as well as rehabilitation, aged care, outpatient and community programs. We are a designated state‑wide provider for services including trauma, and we lead centres of excellence for tertiary services in several key specialties including neurosciences, nephrology, oncology, cardiology and virtual health. Your new team We are a busy and friendly team working together to provide excellent care to patients and their families. We enjoy a collaborative working environment, providing a 24/7 service to the wards and departments at City Campus, completing a range of tasks that support clinicians to care for patients. Your new role Provide support services to clinical staff in the wards and departments of the Royal Melbourne Hospital, including supporting with transfer of patients, patient hygiene, cleaning and ward stock maintenance. Provide excellent care to patients and their families. Ensure effective and timely liaison, communication and support between all areas of the service. Perform emergency response functions, attending and assisting in emergency codes as per organisational policy and procedures. About You Certificate III in Health Service Assistance with additional 6 months experience. Availability to work full range of shifts including weekends, morning, evening and night shifts. Willingness to contribute to quality patient care. Well‑developed interpersonal skills, including an ability to communicate effectively with staff, patients and families. Basic computer skills.
