IT Platforms - Technical Specialist - Server (JO- ) Rhodes, Sydney, Australia Salary: AUD - AUD per annum + Super Salt Search is partnering with a global FMCG company who has state of art manufacturing facilities throughout Australia & the globe and is currently hiring IT Platforms - Technical Specialist -Server - Oceania Location: Rhodes Work Arrangements: Hybrid Type: Fixed term 6-months contract, high possibility to go Permanent Travel required: AU, NZ , PNG and Fiji Overview Scope of the role: Reporting to the Director of Technology and serve as the single point of contact for assigned portfolio of IT Shared Services in the Oceania market, with a focus on server and networking platforms. Working across various projects with a focus on Server room management. Lead innovation by identifying and driving new solutions and process improvements that deliver business value. Responsibilities Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Design, configure, and deploy resilient, scalable, and secure IT platforms that support business operations across on-premises and cloud environments. Deliver integrated infrastructure solutions that enable: Reliable Windows server environments supporting core applications and services Virtualized compute platforms optimized for performance and resource efficiency Seamless hybrid cloud integration across Azure, AWS, and GCP Centralized identity and access management via Active Directory and related services Collaborative productivity through Office 365 tools including SharePoint, Teams, and PowerApps High-availability storage and backup solutions leveraging HP SANs, tape libraries, and enterprise backup platforms Efficient print services and SAP connectivity through managed printer queues and xlink adapters Network stability through basic troubleshooting and support across Cisco/Aruba infrastructure Operational efficiency through custom PowerShell scripting for automation and maintenance Sequel or Postgres experience Server Room Management Ensure environmental controls are maintained (e.g., optimal temperature, humidity, and airflow) Complete installation and maintenance of hardware in line with project timelines and maintenance schedules Ensure reliable and efficient IT service delivery across allocated markets by coordinating advanced support, managing infrastructure operations, and enabling smooth project execution Responsible for allocated markets' ISMS & Risk management, SCI KPIs including FFIT/LMS Ensure both management and progression of all items and Instances related to ISMS & Risk management, SCI KPIs including FFIT/LMS are addressed, handled and closed in a timely manner Technical Skills Required (min 7 years work exp) Proven ability to design and deploy Windows Server, virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware), and hybrid cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP). Strong knowledge of enterprise services including Active Directory, Office 365, SCCM, backup/Storage solutions. Experience managing hardware lifecycles, printer services, and basic network troubleshooting. Proficient in PowerShell scripting for automation and system maintenance. Skilled in coordinating L2/L3 support and acting as escalation point across multiple markets. Effective stakeholder engagement with Field Services, Engineering, and regional teams.
