Hotel Maintenance / Handyperson/ Cleaner The Landmark Resort in Nelson Bay is looking for an experienced Handy person to join the motivated and hard working maintenance team on a casual base. Working in a small team, you will be required to maintain the building, equipment and fixtures and fittings throughout the hotel to a high standard. The successful applicant will be customer service focused, have previous experience in a similar role or maintenance experience, be highly motivated and able to work unsupervised and in a team environment. Responsibilities and Duties: Cleaning and maintaining the Common areas of the Hotel to a high standard. Carry out general repairs to the building and hotel rooms, such as patching and painting, plumbing, carpentry and preventative maintenance throughout the Hotel. When required assist guests with any maintenance issues in their room, while being friendly and customer service focused at all times. Contact trade persons when required and follow through to the completion of the task. Assist other team members when needed, to ensure that the hotel operates to its full potential. Skills and Experience: Previous experience in a similar role or the ability to demonstrate skills required to be successful in this role. Having a skilled trade background, preferably in construction or the building industry would be an advantage but not essential. Excellent customer service skills and must be team orientated to succeed in this role. Being a busy hotel, it can be a physically demanding role, so organisational and time management skills will be needed. Able to work a minimum of one day a week, with the ability to work more shifts during peak season, including weekends and public holidays when required. Must have initiative and attention for detail, rectify any issues without direction. Maintain Safe Work Practices and WH&S at all times. #J-18808-Ljbffr
