Brendale Brewing is a family-owned and independently operated microbrewery nestled in the heart of Brendale's industrial district. We take pride in offering a diverse range of beers, with up to eleven rotating taps, all brewed in-house. We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Bar Manager to lead our hospitality operations and ensure an outstanding guest experience. The Role: The Bar Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the brewery’s front-of-house and back-of-house operations, including bar and kitchen management, customer service, staff supervision, brewing management and event coordination. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for craft beer. Key Responsibilities and Skills: Oversee daily venue operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service. Lead, train, and manage staff, fostering a positive and high-performing team culture. Maintain excellent customer service standards and handle customer enquiries or concerns. Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships for bar, kitchen and brewing operations. Coordinate events, tastings, and promotions to enhance customer engagement and drive sales. Managing and booking food trucks. Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and responsible service of alcohol (RSA) requirements. Work closely with the brewing team to promote new and seasonal beer releases. Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and improve the overall customer experience. Monitor financial performance, including budgets, sales targets, and cost control. Oversee venue maintenance and cleanliness, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for guests. Requirements: Minimum of 3-5 years experience in hospitality or management. Proven leadership and team management experience. Approved Managers licence would be advantageous but not essential. Strong knowledge of bar and restaurant operations, including stock management and service standards. Passion for craft beer, with knowledge of beer styles and brewing processes a plus. Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification. Experience in event planning and promotions is highly desirable. What we offer: Competitive salary based on experience.
