The position is located in our project office in Sydney CBD, with occasional site visits, and will transition to a 14/7 roster-based arrangement from our camp in Merotherie NSW once the project is fully operational. Key Responsibilities Coaching and mentoring project personnel on safety systems and best practices. Identify, monitor and report any emerging risks to the project team. Work with the Safety and Training departments to identify and develop training. Assist in incident investigations. Assist in site communications (e.g., Pre‑Start, Toolbox). Regularly review onsite practices against the project risk register and management plans. Identify all potential and imminent hazards on a site and proactively address them in collaboration with project field leadership. Actively participate in and drive a culture of collaboration, discipline, innovation, adaptability to change and care. Assist in regular risk activity workshops, providing expert and practical input. Ensure safety and sustainability are always front of mind for all personnel. Lead by example by promoting a positive work health and safety culture. Conduct inspections, risk activity reviews and observations as per project requirements, and coach inspection processes to project field leadership. Criteria for Selection WHS Practitioner (5–6 years) in Transmission, Distribution or Renewables. Management & Leadership experience of 4 years. Audit Management practices experience of 2–3 years. Trade‑based qualification – Electrical Fitter / Substation Technician / Line worker. Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or Cert IV in WHS. Safety Lead Auditor qualification. Lead ICAM Investigator (or equivalent) Statement of Attainment. Capability of using WHS management and technique tools/software. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences.
