Volunteer Counsellor

CCA is seeking a qualified counsellor to provide services to youth, families and individuals in order to build their resilience, mental wellbeing, and provide them with the tools required to assist them to regain control of their lives and move forward with confidence and a feeling of self‑esteem. Skills Empathy and a positive attitude Ability to complete paperwork and client notes Excellent interpersonal skills Commitment to client confidentiality Experience in working with youth preferred Key responsibilities Accept referrals from CCA staff Undertake one‑on‑one counselling sessions Make referrals where necessary Maintain client notes Complete paperwork in accordance with CCA policy Category Mental Health Commitment Regular – more than 6 months Type Of Work Counselling & Help Line Time Required We are looking for a volunteer who is available one day a week between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The particular day of the week is negotiable.
