Dispensary Technician / Pharmacy Student - Permanent Part Time Dispensary Technician / Pharmacy Student Permanent Part-Time Wyndham Discount Chemist, Werribee About Us Wyndham Discount Chemist is a lively, community-focused pharmacy located in the heart of Werribee, right next to Wyndham Health Medical Centre. Open 7 days a week (8AM–9PM weekdays, 9AM–7PM weekends), we’re committed to delivering exceptional service and personalised care to support the health and wellbeing of our local community. The Opportunity We’re seeking a motivated and customer-focused Dispensary Technician / Pharmacy Student to join our team on a Permanent Part-Time basis. You’ll be an integral part of our pharmacy operations—supporting customers, maintaining stock, and assisting with dispensary processes. This role is ideal for someone who is flexible, keen to learn, and looking to grow their career in community pharmacy. You'll work alongside a supportive team and gain valuable experience, with opportunities for progression and access to additional training as it becomes available. Regular Shifts Monday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM Friday: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM Saturday: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM Key Responsibilities Preparation of Dose Administration Aids (MedicoPak / Webster-Pak) Maintain Dispensary Stock levels, information and presentation Assist Pharmacist to process patient information Receipt, unpack and check-off dispensary orders accurately Provide friendly, professional customer service and healthcare advice Assist customers with general product and medication enquiries Conduct over-the-counter sales and product recommendations Operate point-of-sale systems (FRED POS) Restock shelves and maintain inventory levels Support dispensary staff with prescription in/out and order fulfilment Assist with medication deliveries as required Follow instructions from the Retail Manager and Pharmacist on duty What You’ll Bring Prior experience as a Dispensary Technician or be an Enrolled Pharmacy Student Basic knowledge of pharmacy products and services Familiarity with FRED POS and FRED Dispense (highly regarded) Excellent communication and teamwork skills High attention to detail and time management A proactive attitude and willingness to learn Bonus qualifications: Certificate IV in Community Pharmacy Dispensary Why Join Us?
