At BMD Northcliffe Surf Club we take pride in our newly renovated and inviting space where we serve a thriving community of over 15,000 members and welcome up to 5,000 customers weekly. We are conveniently situated on the tram line but also nestled along the pristine beachfront. Our venue features an open kitchen that has breathtaking sea views and we maintain a reputation for excellence in both volume and quality. As one of the Coast's premier Club restaurants we are celebrated for our exceptional food, beverages and service, all thanks to our award-winning team. Position We are currently seeking an experienced multi-skilled Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a busy atmosphere, maintaining high-quality standards to exceed our customers’ expectations. This position has the opportunity of an exceptional work/life balance with an option to work a unique 4 day on 4 day off schedule . On this schedule your 8 week roster rotation mean's you will only work 3 full weekends, 2 weeks of one weekend shift each and 3 weekends off every 8 weeks. You’ll work at one of the Coast’s most renowned Club restaurants while enjoying quality family/you time and know your roster for years in advance – a rarity in the hospitality industry However, other rostering opportunities are available if this is not suitable. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of meats, seafood and vegetables with precision and speed. Maintain high-quality standards and impeccable presentation. Thrive in a busy atmosphere delivering prompt service without compromising on quality. Work seamlessly within the kitchen team to ensure a smooth operation. Adhere to company and food safety policies and procedures including maintaining an impeccably clean, well‑organised and hygienic work environment. Qualifications Trade qualification and minimum 2 years’ experience in a comparable role. Proven ability to provide high quality meals in a fast paced, very high-volumeenvironmentall while keeping calm and composed. Proven experience taking charge of a key section like grill, pans, woks or pass. Able to work a flexible roster including days, evening, weekends and public holidays. Your minimum income based on a 38 hour per week average will be approximately $72k a year.
