We are one of the world's largest gold producers with operations and projects spanning across four continents. In Australia we own and manage the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine, and the Tropicana Gold Mine. The Opportunity Join our Exploration team. You will report directly to the Senior Exploration Geologist and support exploration activities and project work that furthers geological understanding and success in near‑mine and regional environments. Remote camp work up to three hours’ drive from the mine for up to eight days at a time. This role is permanent and based on a FIFO 8/6 roster out of Perth or Kalgoorlie. Accountabilities Adhering to all safety procedures and always working in a safe manner Developing and maintaining harmonious, productive working relationships with all contractors and colleagues Independent supervision of drilling activities, ensuring safety, environmental compliance, and sample QAQC On‑ground contractor management and supervision of drill crews, downhole surveyors, and laboratory QAQC High quality geological logging of aircore, RC and diamond core Completing project work as assigned, including geological interpretation, 3D modelling, targeting, and drill hole planning Assisting in maintaining and ensuring the integrity of the exploration database Providing mentoring and training to graduate geologists and field technicians About You The right attitude – strong enthusiasm for geology and discovery A relevant tertiary or postgraduate degree in geology Over 2 years’ experience working as an exploration, resource development or mine geologist Excellent geological interpretation skills Experience using GIS and 3D modelling software Knowledge of QAQC practices Current C class manual driver’s licence, preferably with 4WD experience Permanent work rights in Australia are mandatory Culture and Benefits Fully Covered Top Tier Gold Cover Private Health Insurance for you and your family (fully paid) Flexible working policy Attractive Annual Bonus Opportunity to work for an endorsed WORK180, and an accredited Menopause Friendly employer 26 weeks primary and 8 weeks secondary paid Parental Leave Access to a wide range of training and development opportunities and further study assistance Active committees driving a culture of Inclusion and Belonging Giving back to your community with Volunteering Leave Salary sacrifice and Novated Lease options Our full list of benefits and why we are recognised as an Endorsed Employer for Women by WORK180 can be seen on the WORK180 website.
