Overview Seeking enthusiastic Chefs & Cooks to join our team at Hideki. The position offers an opportunity to showcase your culinary skills in the latest and exciting Japanese restaurant in Brisbane. What you'll be doing Preparing, cooking and presenting a variety of high-quality dishes in line with our restaurant's cuisine and standards Ensuring consistent food quality, portion control, and presentation Maintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations Providing mentorship and training to junior kitchen staff What we're looking for Sushi/Sashimi experience Minimum 1 year experience as a Chef or Cook in a reputable hospitality establishment with Sushi/ Sashimi experience Formal culinary qualification or training (e.g. Certificate III in Commercial Cookery) Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods and presentation Excellent time management, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills Positive attitude, strong teamwork skills and the ability to work well under pressure Good communication and customer service skills Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices What we offer At Hideki, we are committed to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment for our culinary team.
