Enjoy great rewards and benefits Permanent Part Time Position - 72 Hours per fortnight Week 1 Tues (Pines) / (Bucklands) Wed (Pines) / (Bucklands) Thurs (Pines) / (Bucklands) Fri (Pines) / (Bucklands) Mon (Pines) / (Bucklands) Week 2 Tues (Pines) / (Bucklands) Wed (Pines) / (Bucklands) Thurs (Pines) / (Bucklands) Fri (Pines) / (Bucklands) Sun (Pines) / (Bucklands) Mon (Pines) / (Bucklands) About the role To oversee the operations of The Pines and Bucklands Cafe, ensuring the cost-efficient provision of high-quality catering services, and supporting the Residential Services Managers with the management and leadership of the cafe staff and volunteers. The role also provides occasional assistance with cafe operations at other Southern Cross Care (SCC) sites; Overseeing daily cafe operations, including stocktake, ordering, receiving supplies, and maintaining high standards of customer service and quality control. Managing and leading staff through induction, training, coaching, performance management, and rostering. Ensuring compliance with Food Safety and HACCP standards, SCC policies, and relevant regulated standards and requirements, including monitoring the IDDSI framework and managing cash/EFTPOS. Leading quality improvement initiatives like cafe audits, satisfaction surveys, and responding to customer feedback. About you Qualifications/Certificates: Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, Responsible Service Of Alcohol Certificate, and a Drivers Licence. Experience: Managing cafe staff, cash handling (including till balancing, POS system, and EFTPOS), and working within legislative/compliance requirements in the hospitality industry. Knowledge: A basic knowledge of the requirements of the Aged Care Standards applicable to the role. Previous experience working in Aged Care.
