As the national governing body, Basketball Australia (BA), in conjunction with our State & Territory member associations, is at the forefront of promoting, fostering, and developing the sport of basketball across the country. In this agile and hands-on role in a national sporting organisation, you’ll work across all administrative and operational facets of People & Culture, from employee lifecycle, P&C operations, employee experience, performance and development, through to supporting workforce planning, change, and culture initiatives. The role is up to full time (0.8 FTE considered) based at our Melbourne Office, at the State Basketball Centre in Wantirna South. We work flexibly, so some work from home is supported. About You We’re looking for someone who: Builds trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Brings positivity, authenticity, and professionalism to all interactions. Can implement practical HR solutions in an operational environment. Shows empathy, makes sound judgements, and brings resilience to everything they do. Can communicate clearly and be able to adjust styles to be effective to all stakeholders. Has a keen interest in the use of technology and HR systems to enhance P&C practice and elevate employee experience. Thrives in a dynamic environment where priorities shift. Is curious, proactive, and ready to contribute to continuous improvement. You will also be: Tertiary qualified in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline. Experienced in an advisory HR role across a broad range of P&C functions preferably with sport industry experience. Working knowledge with Employment Hero preferred. Able to demonstrate how you successfully collaborate, connect and manage key, stakeholders at all levels.
