About the Role The ANZ Markets business has products distributed globally across multiple jurisdictions and entities. Global Markets asset classes consist of FX, Rates and Credit, Global Capital Markets, Commodities and Structured Products. As an Experience Designer in Front Office Support, you will be responsible to support the Global Markets Business in the build out of strategic technology platforms, enhancing existing digital workflows as well as building new tools and reporting platforms crucial to ANZ in its drive for automation and efficiency. This role is designed to delivering a strategic end-to-end cloud-based data and analytics solutions, support development, testing, and enhancement of the external stakeholder reporting application. Role Type: Fixed Term Role Location: Level 6, 242 Pitt Street, Sydney NSW 2000 Work Hours: Full-time (40 hours) What will your day look like? As a Markets Middle Office Analyst, you will: Build and maintain Python frameworks to deliver interactive data to facilitate data capture and processing, supporting various business functions. Lead the design and creation of interactive reports and dashboards, delivering actionable insights that support data-driven decision-making. Lead the adoption of advanced analytics and AI initiatives, integrating AI and generative AI to enhance data analysis capabilities and support strategic decisions Ability to effectively manage own time, whilst ensuring consistent quality output. Participates effectively in data, technical and business discussions, across different audiences Act as a SME for business in the application of data analysis activities. What will you bring? To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: Working knowledge of different asset classes, Foreign Exchange and/or Rates & Credit/ Bonds and Repos will be an advantage. 3+ years of experience in data analysis, business analysis, and solution design/implementation. Python (pandas, data cleansing, error handling, modular code). SQL fundamentals (SELECT, JOIN, simple aggregations; exposure to Athena helpful). Basic AWS usage: S3 object pathing, reading/writing CSV, aware of partitioned data. Git/GitHub (branching, PRs, resolving merge conflicts). Knowledge in agile methodology and software, including JIRA and Confluence Experience with major projects and a background in banking or financial services is preferred. Tertiary qualification in IT or other related qualification You’re not expected to have 100% of these skills.
