About the Role Are you a seasoned veterinary nurse, with a strong background in the veterinary industry? This nursing role is unique – dermatology and otology are among the most interesting, complex, and niche elements of the profession. You will support some of the loveliest clients and their furry friends, building long‑term relationships while delivering high‑quality care. The role is approximately 60% consultation nursing, 20% surgical nursing, and the remainder includes ordering, admin tasks, and cleaning. Responsibilities Consultation nursing – assist vets with restraint, blood collection, wound care, and video‑otoscopy; train clients on home treatments. Surgical nursing – prepare for sedations, assist with intradermal skin allergy testing, general anaesthesia for scopes and soft‑tissue surgeries. Inventory management – keep the pharmacy and clinic areas stocked; order allergy vaccines and compounding ingredients. Reception assistance – help with front‑desk duties during busy periods. General clinic cleaning – maintain cleanliness of all areas throughout the day. Qualifications Ideally 3 or more years of professional veterinary nursing experience, including 2–3+ years in a vet or animal‑related reception/admin role. Ability to stay calm, prioritize, and remain reliable in a fast‑paced environment. Strong communication and multitasking skills. MUST have veterinary practice experience. Desirable (but not essential) Nursing, admin, reception, or leadership experience. What We Offer 4‑day work week – Monday to Thursday, every 2nd Wednesday mostly off. No weekends or after‑hours work.
