Specific Selection Criteria Approval to teach Special Education and / or experience teaching students with autism, mild and moderate intellectual disabilities, and significant mental health needs, with demonstrated excellence in individualised classroom teaching practice. Demonstrated excellence in classroom teaching practice with the ability to design, implement and evaluate quality data driven Individual Education Plans that promote student engagement and improve academic performance. Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively, proactively and professionally with colleagues, parents and carers, SLSO staff, external support agencies and the wider community to achieve positive student outcomes. Capacity to develop effective and relevant transition plans focused on improved outcomes for students. Proven classroom management expertise and wellbeing practices, with a commitment to building the capacity of colleagues to promote improved outcomes for students with additional needs. Conditions An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
