Education Officer: Mathematics (7-12) | Catholic Education Diocese of Bathurst Permanent | Full-time Salary paying up to $164,199.00 + super Access to Fitness Passport & Salary Packaging About the Role Catholic Education Diocese of Bathurst (CEDB) is currently recruiting for an Education Officer: Mathematics to join the Learning, Teaching and Wellbeing Team, commencing Term 1 2026. This role supports schools as they develop as Professional Learning Communities, enhancing the quality of learning and teaching across our system of schools. Key responsibilities: Promote the Mission of Catholic Education – model Christ’s teachings, uphold the dignity of all, and strengthen schools as communities of faith and learning. Support Quality Learning and Teaching – develop educational leadership, implement contemporary curriculum, and lead professional learning to enhance student outcomes. Drive Improvement in Mathematics and Numeracy – lead the Diocesan Learning Hub and build teacher capacity to embed numeracy across all KLAs. Facilitate Teacher Professional Development – design and deliver evidence-based learning, promote inquiry and action research, and support innovative classroom practice. Foster Collaboration and Partnerships – work with principals, teachers, system leaders, and external partners to strengthen teaching and learning across schools. Undertake Additional Duties – support system priorities and travel within the Diocese as required. A commitment to supporting the values and ethos of the Catholic tradition in education. Proven success as a classroom practitioner in Catholic education (primary or secondary). Demonstrated experience in secondary education with a focus on Mathematics. Strong understanding of current research and evidence-based practices in Learning and Teaching. Excellent written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to manage workload, show initiative, and work collaboratively within and across teams. Postgraduate qualifications in Education and/or Leadership (desirable). Why Work with Us?
