Taree, New South Wales Overview MidCoast Council is seeking an enthusiastic Arts and Cultural Programs Officer to join our team from January 2026, working across the Manning Entertainment Centre and Manning Regional Art Gallery. This part‑time role, Tuesday to Friday, offers the opportunity to create and facilitate engaging programmes and events that inspire, connect and uplift our community. The role will also include additional evening and weekend hours to support programme delivery. Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver arts and cultural programmes and events that attract diverse audiences and encourage participation. Foster meaningful connections between the community and local creative industries, artists and cultural organisations. Collaborate with schools, aged‑care facilities and disability services to ensure inclusive and accessible programming. Contribute to funding and grant applications, and manage sponsorships and subsidies to support local participation in the arts. Target communication and promotional strategies to grow engagement across our cultural venues. Qualifications Experience in arts and cultural programme development, event management or community engagement. Highly organised and able to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail. Skill in building and maintaining strong relationships with artists, local creative industries and community groups. Passion for creating inclusive, accessible and engaging cultural experiences for all members of the community. Remuneration Commencing salary $59,801 p.a (pro‑rated based on part‑time hours) + superannuation. Salary is negotiable based on skills and experience. Location This position will be based at our Manning Regional Art Gallery and Manning Entertainment Centre. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.
