About The Opportunity We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Overseer to join our Civil Asset Maintenance team on a permanent, full‑time basis. The successful candidate will be part of a high‑performing team that carries out a varied range of operational and capital works within our road reserve, waterways and reserves. You will have contractor management skills, be adept at using computers and able to look at issues with a holistic approach for providing recommendations. You will help formulate strategies to maintain Council's civil infrastructure at the highest service standards, and from time to time assist in the implementation of infrastructure asset improvement programs. You will also be required to liaise with customers and the community from time to time or as required. Essential Qualifications and Experience Trade qualification or Certificate IV in a related field Extensive experience in the application of skills in all aspects of the job Solid knowledge of application of skills in complex areas of the job Demonstrated communication skills when responding to internal and external customers Current class C driver's licence Remuneration and Benefits The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement. Entry level for this position starts at $1,790.59 per week, plus an additional 10.38% in accordance with Council's flexibility agreement 41‑hour working week Rostered Day Off (RDO) every fortnight Leaseback vehicle Employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 12% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs Our Commitment to Safety Blacktown City Council is committed to safety.
