Marketing Co-Ordinator

Primary Duties Working closely with the CEO and Category Managers to build, manage and deliver the Defab marketing and communications plan Contribute to the development and execution of marketing materials and channels including collaborative web design and sampling. Contribute and manage development of continual improvement of the marketing communication plan Coordinate the management of print, sampling, and web for product launches and expos. Assist with the management of relationships with key industry partners (e.g., BMAA, STA, universities etc.) and implement promotional initiatives through their networks to maximise awareness of Defab's products and services. Assist with the development, introduction, and implementation of a Defab CRM system (currently on google sheets) to enhance the supply and service experience for customers and as well as improving the customer retention process. Use various research materials (Trade magazines, Website searches, OZ on disk, Lead Generation database) to identify potential customers and in consultation with Sales Team determine contact strategy to attract these customers to Defab Monitor the lapsed and new contacts and report on success rate Attend network and promotional events to develop and maintain contact with both existing and potential customers Use various PC software packages, including spreadsheets, word processing and graphics to produce high quality reports, tables, graphs, presentations, and other documents Accountabilities Overview Drive, develop and execute targeted print and online initiatives as part of raising awareness and consideration for Defab products. Content development and management for promotional social media platforms, monthly newsletters and Defab website Develop and monitor strategy specific budgets. Analyse campaigns and provide relevant reports and recommendations. Develop, implement, and evaluate digital campaigns including PPC, AdWords and SEO's Development of Defab promotional literature Manage and oversee the production of all Defab's marketing collateral and publication requirements. Where required design and create graphics, publications and collateral using external services (currently Mike Gaal) to a standard that meets Defab's style guide and standards. Manage Key stakeholder relationships Manage the relationship with the agency appointed to design all Defab's marketing material in line with key marketing objectives. Manage the relationships with the various Australian and overseas based companies are tasked to produce any marketing collateral. Develop and facilitate relationships with key operational staff that assist with production of marketing collateral and samples. Market Defab products and services with major customers and in partnership with industry organisations Market Defab products and services via the Industrial Canvas and Window Furnishings industry including the wholesale and retail sectors. Market products and services at industry specific Expo's including local caravan and camping shows, BMAA blind Expo's and Equine Shows. Market and develop product and brand awareness via industry partners such as BMAA, STA and other industry specific groups and associations. Monitor the flow and quality of information to key stakeholders via Defab management and sales staff. Event and Expo management Assist with the project plan for industry expos. Plan and coordinate product launches and seminars / training days for clients and staff Market Research Assist with the project plan for industry expos. Plan and coordinate product launches and seminars / training days for clients and staff Implement a customer experience strategy Planning and implementing a schedule for email communication (e.g., order confirmation, 2nds fabric lists etc.) and helping improve customer experience and building awareness of the Defab brand. Identify gaps in the customer experience and implement new strategies to enhance the process for new and existing customers. Map and analyse the respective customer journey processes from order to dispatch, contact to information flow or visit to ensure a high-quality customer experience and identify opportunities for improvement. Assist with the planning and implementation of a CRM. Leadership / Teamwork Work as an effective company team member, sharing responsibilities, working collaborative, and generating ideas. Establish positive relationships with colleagues. Be aware of all organisational policies and practice guidelines. Other Work closely will sales and sales support staff to ensure an exceptional customer experience. Assist with phone and front desk duties as required. Undertake any other duties / tasks as directed by the Chief Executive Officer and Category Managers and customer support staff. Implement tools to collect and analyse data with regards customer satisfaction through ordering, delivery, invoicing and after sales processes. Implement tools to collect and analyse data to realise possible new opportunities and products to market. Implement tools to understand the alignment of Defab current products with existing clients that will support the sales staff in identifying new opportunities. Implement tools and manage data to build and analyse a database on client and market expectations for DIFOT and analysis compared to current state. Research, using various search engines businesses that may use products within the Defab range, set up a target, and make initial contact to introduce Defab. Together with Category Managers devise a target customer list for follow up and visit post initial contact. Professional approach. Ability to work under pressure. Organisational and time management skills. Excellent attention to detail. Desired competencies Marketing graduate looking to apply tertiary education in the real world. Ideally marketing communications graduate Working knowledge / proficiency with Microsoft modules, inc. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, AND Google Modules Graphic Design software such as Adobe Suite Ability to take initiative, work autonomously and productively as part of a team, and looking to build and maintain relationships with key stake holders both internal and external to an organisation. A strong willingness to deliver effective marketing campaigns that produce tangible and measurable outcomes with limited budget expenditure. A strong willingness to collaborate, negotiate and communicate with a range of audiences and stakeholders both internal and external to an organisation.
