Lecturer in Indigenous Knowledges and Heritage Studies Continuing Full Time Appointment Teaching Focused Academic Level A/B – annual salary $76,604 – $137,659 pa Plus 17% superannuation and 6 weeks annual leave Casuarina Campus Deliver high-quality teaching in Indigenous Knowledges and heritage studies while working closely with First Nations communities to support cultural site preservation and student learning. About the Position As the Lecturer in Indigenous Knowledges and Heritage Studies , you will teach archaeology, anthropology and Indigenous Knowledges units relevant to northern Australia and Southeast Asia at degree and postgraduate levels and may be required to develop pathway programs through VET certificates and short courses, with a particular focus on supporting training and education for First Nations students in the field of archaeology, cultural site management, preservation and dissemination of information. You will be responsible for facilitating students’ learning and assessment, attending student and industry enquiries, and assisting in marketing the relevant courses. About You To be successful, you will require: Postgraduate qualification and experience as an archaeologist or anthropologist in Australia or an equivalent combination of experience and education/training. A track record of research in archaeology, anthropology and/or First Nations cultural site management in the context of northern Australia. Demonstrated experience providing education and training either within a workplace setting or educational institution. Experience in researching and developing training tools to meet needs. Demonstrated high level interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills including the ability to communicate in a culturally sensitive manner with internal and external stakeholders (including community centers, industry partners, stakeholders, and government departments). Demonstrated experience working independently and as part of a team, with proven organizational, time management and administrative skills to support course delivery. The base salary will be in the range of $76,604 – $137,659 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $89,626 - $161,061 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
