Clinical Practice Improvement Specialist - Paediatrics Location: Sunshine/Joan Kirner Women’s & Children’s, with scope across paediatric services Employment Type: Fixed Term, Part Time Salary: Registered Nurse Grade 4A Year 1 (YW17) About the role: An exciting fixed-term opportunity has arisen for an experienced paediatric nurse to join our team as a Clinical Practice Improvement Specialist (CPIS) – Paediatrics to cover maternity leave. The CPIS plays a vital role in leading, coordinating and evaluating clinical improvement strategies across paediatric services – including inpatient, emergency, and ambulatory care. The role bridges the gap between policy and practice, embedding evidence‑based care, and supporting service innovation that enhances patient safety and family‑centred care. Key responsibilities: Lead and implement clinical practice improvements, guidelines, and service development initiatives. Support the Women’s & Children’s Leadership Team in delivering safe, effective and patient‑centred care. Provide leadership in risk management, quality improvement and reporting. Facilitate education, mentoring and support for clinical teams. Drive innovation to improve outcomes for infants, children, adolescents and their families. About you: Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse. Postgraduate qualifications in paediatrics and relevant clinical experience. A proven record of leading clinical improvement initiatives. Strong communication, consultation and stakeholder engagement skills. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
