If so, we have an opportunity for you where you will manage a team of control system engineers and field technicians. About the Role You are responsible for management, design, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Industrial Automation and Control Systems Operations. This role will oversee a team of control system engineers and field technicians and will take accountability of planning, and delivery of engineering projects and associated works. Duties include bid management, design oversight, project management, compliance, forecasting, reporting, and stakeholder engagement and management. Acting in a management capacity, you will ensure the operation and growth of the Industrial Automation department. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Develop and execute the company’s Engineering strategy in alignment with business goals. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of control system engineers and technicians. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (PMO, BD, Delivery) to ensure alignment on engineering project delivery and initiatives. Manage performance reviews and issues, grievances and other people related matters. Provide RPEQ oversight and sign off. Execute recruitment and onboarding activities. Develop and expand existing key client relationships. Provide technical input and guidance for design, development, and implementation of control systems including PLCs, SCADA, electrical design etc. Ensure Safety in Design principals are maintained. Manage CS/IS projects from concept through commissioning, including budgeting, scheduling, and vendor management. Evaluate and select appropriate hardware, firmware and software for PLC solutions. Management of sub-contractor works. Ensure profitability and cost allocation is tracked throughout project delivery. About You This role is a senior position, ideal for those with a solid professional attitude, aptitude, and dedication to industrial automation. To be successful, you will need to possess the following: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. 10+ years of experience in industrial automation/control systems, including 3+ years in a leadership or management role. Registered Professional Engineers of Queensland (RPEQ) Strong knowledge of PLC programming, HMI/SCADA systems, and industrial networks, as well as Familiarity with Rockwell Products and PLC range including CompactLogix Controllogix, FactoryTalk, Panelview etc. Hands‑on experience with site commissioning and documentation. Demonstrated project management skills with experience managing multiple complex projects. Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and organizational skills. Strong communication and leadership abilities. Proven experience leading a team and management of people. Demonstrated experience and knowledge in Safety in Design processes and sign off.
