About the Opportunity This role supports the implementation of the AMC’s Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander and Māori Strategy across all business areas. You’ll play a key role in ensuring cultural safety is embedded in AMC operations and contribute to meaningful engagement and strategic initiatives. Key responsibilities include: Coordinating consultations with Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander and Māori communities leaders and organisations. Attend recruitment panels to assist and determine Cultural Safety fit for the AMC as required. Supporting major project deliverables and strategic goals across the AMC. Facilitating internal communications and cultural safety learning events. Managing a central information space and producing regular cultural updates for staff. Organising yarning circles education sessions and culturally safe spaces at AMC events. Supporting policy development stakeholder engagement and project tracking. Contributing to workshops meetings and other initiatives that reflect AMC’s values of fairness cultural safety and self‑determination. This position is identified for Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander Peoples. Being an Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander person is a genuine occupational qualification required to undertake this role under section 33B of the Discrimination Act 1991 (ACT). You bring Previous internal and / or external recruitment background. Strong project coordination and organisational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication especially in policy contexts. Experience working with Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander and Māori stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital collaboration tools. Desirable skills include Experience working in culturally safe ways with Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander and Māori stakeholders. Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to build effective respectful relationships across diverse teams. Demonstrated experience in recruitment coordination including advertising interviewing onboarding and candidate engagement. Familiarity with recruitment platforms and HRIS systems such as Employment Hero, SEEK, LinkedIn. Ability to co‑design and implement inclusive recruitment strategies and workforce initiatives. Experience facilitating internal learning sessions cultural safety training or yarning circles. Knowledge of the Australian healthcare system medical education or regulatory frameworks. Confidence in drafting policies reports and strategic communications with clarity and cultural sensitivity. Ability to anticipate risks or barriers in program delivery and contribute to practical solutions. Experience in event coordination or stakeholder engagement activities. Comfort working in a dynamic cross‑functional environment with shifting priorities. Familiarity with visual communication tools such as Canva or PowerPoint for internal presentations.
