You’ll be working alongside: One full‑time Pharmacist One Pharmacist working one day a fortnight One Pharmacy Technician working three days a week Because we’re a small service, you’ll quickly get to know the wards, nurses, doctors and allied health teams – and they’ll get to know you. About The Role In this role, you’ll be an all‑rounder pharmacy technician, involved in all aspects of the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy. A typical day or week might include: Stock management: ordering, receiving and rotating stock, checking expiry dates, and making sure wards have what they need Dispensing support: preparing medications under the supervision of the pharmacist Prepacks and ward packs: making and maintaining prepacked medications and ward stock packs Paperwork and systems: managing documentation, filing, and keeping records accurate and up to date General support: helping with anything the pharmacists need to keep the service running smoothly You’ll have the opportunity to be involved in the full range of technician tasks and build strong working relationships across the hospital. Non‑negotiables Who we're looking for Qualified and experienced Pharmacy Technician (hospital experience highly regarded) Able to work independently and also collaboratively within a small team Reliable, organised and able to manage competing priorities Strong attention to detail and commitment to medication safety Can Be Learned On The Job Local systems and processes Specific hospital procedures and workflows Familiarity with particular specialist areas within Singleton Hospital If you’re proactive, practical and enjoy being the person who “just gets things done”, you’ll fit in well here.
