Functions, Events & Bar Manager | New Coastal Wine Bar Opening Soon We're opening a brand-new coastal wine bar and we're searching for a passionate Functions & Events Manager and Bar Manager to help bring it to life. This is a rare opportunity to join at the beginning, shape the service style, help build the team culture, and create a venue the Scarborough community will love. We're locally based owner-operators with 30+ years of combined industry experience and a genuine passion for great food, wine and hospitality. Our vision is to create a relaxed yet refined coastal wine bar where the wine, service and people are the heart of the experience. ️ Opening: Early 2026 Who We're Looking For We're hiring for a Functions, Events & Bar Manager to join our opening team, ideally with: Strong wine knowledge and a genuine passion for wine (sommelier experience highly regarded) Experience conceptualising and delivering wine & food pairing events, tastings and hosted experiences An understanding of how food and wine work together to create memorable guest moments A natural ability to build rapport with guests and create meaningful connections A hands‑on leadership style with a positive, supportive approach The confidence to help shape service standards, systems and training from day one What You'll Be Involved In As part of the opening leadership team, you'll have the opportunity to: Develop and guide our wine and beverage offering Design and host wine‑led events, including tastings, food pairings and special collaborations Work with the kitchen and ownership team to create thoughtful wine & food pairing experiences Deliver warm, welcoming and knowledgeable service guests remember Recruit, train and mentor a passionate FOH team Build a community‑focused culture grounded in respect, fun and high standards Work closely with hands‑on owners who value your ideas, input and expertise What We're Creating A coastal wine bar where: WA wines, local produce and genuine hospitality take centre stage Wine is explored through events, pairings and shared experiences Guests feel like regulars from their very first visit Service is elevated, yet relaxed The team feels like family and takes pride in what we deliver #J-18808-Ljbffr
