Location: Sydney Type: Full-time The Opportunity This is a hands-on role perfect for a news junkie with strong digital skills who wants to learn from the best. You'll be at the heart of daily operations across two distinct media brands - Squiz's innovative news products reaching millions of Australians, and Rampart's hard-hitting business journalism led by Australia's sharpest business commentator, Joe Aston. What You'll Do For Squiz: Build and format our daily and weekly newsletters (Squiz Today, Shortcuts, Saturday Squiz) Publish podcasts and create supporting content Manage social media across Instagram, LinkedIn and X Maintain editorial calendars and lead weekly team meetings For Rampart: Format and publish articles Support the growth of this exciting new publication You're Our Person If You: Are a genuine news junkie who likes to be across the news Have strong digital skills (or can pick them up quickly) - think Canva, social platforms, content systems Write clearly and can adapt to different audiences Are naturally organised - you'll have multiple daily deadlines Have practical common sense and can problem-solve on the fly Want to learn from experienced journalists and content professionals Have a degree in journalism, communications, media or similar (or equivalent passion/experience) Send your CV to and a short note outlining your background, demonstrating that you understand both Squiz and Rampart's unique positions in Australian media.
