Senior Legal Counsel – Corporate & Regulatory Our client is a leading Australian company operating in the logistics and transport realm. Due to growth, we are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join their impressive team and work closely with their General Counsel. The role is incredibly broad, encompassing competition and regulatory matters, infrastructure projects, corporate and commercial agreements, transactions, technology, and government engagement. Base Pay Range A$240,000.00/yr - A$300,000.00/yr Key Responsibilities Draft, review, and negotiate complex procurement contracts covering critical categories such as supply, automation, maintenance, IT infrastructure, vertical solutions, security, and electricity supply. Advise on a variety of competition issues encompassing potential misuse of market power, access and price fairness, unfair contract terms, vertical integration and exclusive dealing. Proactively engage with ACCC to maintain a healthy and productive relationship. Provide strategic legal advice on automation projects, technology integration, and major procurement initiatives across the terminal network. Prepare submissions to major inquiries and reviews to various regulatory bodies. Advise management and project teams on compliance, risk management, and corporate governance issues. Advise the Management Team and Board on legal and regulatory issues impacting the business. Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders across operations, strategy, finance, and external advisors. Required Skills 8+ years’ PQE gained in a top‑tier, mid‑tier or in‑house legal environment, ideally within corporate M&A, competition, logistics or a heavily regulated industry. Strong understanding of corporate, commercial, and regulatory law, with demonstrated experience engaging with regulators such as the ACCC. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels of the organisation. Highly organised, adaptable, and able to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously. Team‑oriented mindset, with a collaborative and professional working style.
