Successful candidates will have high level research, policy development, critical analysis, problem-solving and people management skills. They will have strong organisational skills and be able to manage projects, and draft complex reports and other documents. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, given the diverse range of internal and external customers and stakeholders. Committee Manager, Scrutiny and Engagement As a Committee Manager in the Scrutiny and Engagement business unit, you will work with Members of Parliament from the Legislative Assembly and the Legislative Council on committee inquiries. Your primary role is to manage committee inquiry or oversight processes in accordance with parliamentary law, practice, and procedure. This includes calling for submissions, organising meetings and hearings and writing reports. You will ensure that these processes encourage public participation and that reports and other material prepared for committees are thorough and accurate. Manager, House and Procedure As a Manager, House and Procedure, you will support Members of Parliament to participate in Chamber proceedings. You will provide procedural research and advice to assist officeholders, such as the Speaker, the Leader of the House and Whips, in the efficient and effective operation of the Chamber. You will contribute to the Assembly’s procedural publications and the work of the Standing Orders and Procedure Committee by drafting material and editing the work of other team members. You will also work on strategic projects and deliver training to Members and their staff, and assist Directors in the operational management of the House and Procedure business unit.
