About the Role Permanent full‑time position in the Parks & Gardens team. Annual salary: $61,259 – $71,794 + 12% super. Working hours: 6:30 am – 3:26 pm. Access to Council's 9‑day fortnight arrangement. Location: Burwood, New South Wales. Responsibilities Conduct scheduled daily and weekly work programmes for parks and open space. Perform mowing, edging, pruning, planting of trees/shrubs, sports field maintenance, pesticide application, weeding, tree maintenance and other general parks maintenance works. Operate plant and equipment including whipper, snipper, chipper, ride‑on mowers, excavator and medium rigid vehicles. Report all vehicle/plant problems to the team leader or mechanics staff. Qualifications Current NSW Class MR Licence. General Construction Induction Card (White Card). Traffic Controllers Certificate or willingness to obtain. AQF3 Chemical Certificate or willingness to obtain. Experience operating ride‑on mowers and other small plant (brushcutters, push mowers, edgers, blowers). Additional Requirements COVID‑19 vaccination (2 doses). Willingness to complete pre‑employment screening, including a medical examination and police check.
