NDIS - Community Support Worker Casual – Allambi Care Allambi Care is a multi‑disciplined and recognised leader in the human services field with over 40 years of experience, serving the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Hunter, Central Coast regions in NSW as well as Victoria. About The Role The Support Worker plays a vital role in fostering a safe, friendly, and supportive environment for individuals living with disabilities, children, and young people in the care of Allambi Care. Through tailored person‑centred active support, this role empowers participants and young people, including those with complex needs, to develop daily living skills, engage in community activities, and build their capacity for greater independence and inclusivity, ultimately helping them achieve their goals. Your Daily Tasks Can Include: Building a relationship with the people you are caring for. Providing care to participants, following a routine developed specifically in consultation with the participants and their needs, including personal, medication and domestic care. Transporting the people in our care to and from school, grocery shopping and appointments. Assisting in the implementation of programs designed for the development of the client. Report writing. Rewards Start with completing a paid induction program. Ongoing support. Receive all day, all hour on‑call support. Rates for this role commence at SCHADS Level 2 Paypoint 1. About You – Essential Criteria Current Working with Children Check. Current NDIS Worker Check. Current First Aid Certificate (Provide First Aid; Course Code HLTAID011). National Police Check. A current driver’s licence (minimum of a P2). A vehicle that can transport upwards of 4 people. Comprehensive Car Insurance. Certificate of Completion: NDIS Worker Orientation Module. Ability to work a 7‑day shift work roster. Willingness to participate in pre‑employment medical checks. Two professional references. Desirable Qualifications (not required) Certificate III Disability, or Disability Support or equivalent. Certificate III Individual Support. Certificate III Aged Care.
