Senior Speech Pathologist

The Position Permanent Full-Time Opportunity An exciting full-time opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Speech Pathologist to join our team at Joondalup Health Campus. You will be responsible for providing a comprehensive clinical speech pathology service to an adult outpatient caseload who present with a range of swallowing and / or communication deficits due to a range of diagnoses. You will also be a valued leader who is able to provide student supervision and mentor other team members to advance their clinical skills. Qualifications Tertiary qualification in speech pathology. Current eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) as a practicing clinician. Advanced clinical experience in assessing and managing adults presenting with swallow and communication deficits across a range of clinical areas including outpatient services and other clinical specialties. Demonstrated ability to plan develop implement and evaluate treatment programs including group programs. Ability to act as a consultant in adult communication and swallowing disorders. Have attained or are working towards credentialing in videofluoroscopic evaluation of swallowing (VFSS) and / or flexible endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES) is desirable. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and independently as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a complex environment including excellent caseload and time management skills. Highly developed oral and written communication skills. Proven administrative management and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to supervise speech pathology students and professional staff. Demonstrated experience in identifying and completing quality improvement projects in area / s of specialty. Commitment to ongoing professional development. Knowledge of and commitment to quality assurance and / or the accreditation process. An understanding of the relevant legislation in Equal Opportunity and Occupational Health and Safety.
