About the Role We are seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Team Leader to oversee our maintenance cleaning operations and support the smooth delivery of services across multiple client sites. This hands‑on leadership role involves supervising maintenance cleaning staff, coordinating schedules, ensuring work quality, and maintaining strong client relationships. This role suits someone who is organized, confident in problem‑solving, and capable of leading by example while demonstrating strong communication and customer service skills. In addition to supervising the team, this is a highly hands‑on position , where you will actively undertake periodical work and maintenance cleaning jobs, perform specialised deep cleaning tasks, and support the team across multiple sites to ensure all maintenance activities meet Cleaning Melbourne’s high standards. Key Responsibilities Lead, support, and supervise maintenance cleaning staff Undertake hands‑on periodical and maintenance cleaning tasks Perform specialised deep cleaning tasks (steam cleaning, floor work, glass cleaning, etc.) Respond to urgent work requests and allocate resources effectively Provide on‑the‑job training and maintain strong staff performance Communicate with clients to resolve issues and maintain service excellence What We’re Looking For Proven experience in commercial or maintenance cleaning Strong leadership or team supervision experience Hands‑on skills in steam cleaning, floor maintenance, and detailed cleaning Sound knowledge of chemicals, equipment, and safe work practices Excellent communication and client service skills Strong problem‑solving ability and attention to detail Physically fit and capable of manual labour Valid Working With Children Check & Police Check (or willingness to obtain) Driver’s licence preferred Why Work With Us?
