About the Role Whitsunday Anglican School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary English and Drama Teacher to join our dynamic teaching community. The successful candidate will have strong pedagogical knowledge and a thorough understanding of the Australian Curriculum, with the ability to differentiate instruction and engage learners across all levels in both English and Drama to maximise student outcomes. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: Planning and delivering highly engaging lessons in collaboration with members of the teaching team Developing a culture of high expectations for all students Providing feedback to students and parents via the Continuous Reporting system Using data to analyse the progress of students and to review teaching and learning strategies. Developing strong relationships with colleagues, students and parents Candidate Profile Relevant tertiary qualifications. Registration with Queensland College of Teachers. The ability to teach English as well as Drama is highly desirable. Demonstrated high‑level organisational, networking and problem‑solving skills. Proven subject expertise or the ability in their designated Secondary degree majors. A team player with strong interpersonal skills, who has the ability to engage and inspire. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. A desire to work collaboratively and positively with a diversity of personnel. Enthusiastic commitment to participating in the School's pastoral and co‑curricular programmes.
