We are seeking an organised, people-focused Practice Manager to lead our team, support day-to-day operations, and help drive the continued growth of our practice starting in January 2026. About the Role As the Practice Manager , you will oversee the smooth and efficient running of the practice and ensure an outstanding experience for both patients and staff. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care in a healthcare setting. You will work closely with the Owner and play a key role in team support, business operations, process improvement, and maintaining the welcoming, professional environment our patients expect. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality service delivery Manage appointment scheduling, patient flow, and customer service standards Maintain stock levels and ensure efficient inventory management (frames, lenses, contact lenses, equipment, and consumables) Lead, support, and motivate the practice team Coordinate staff training, rostering, and performance development Promote a positive, collaborative workplace culture Manage daily banking, billing, invoicing, and reconciliation Monitor KPIs, financial performance, and practice reporting Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and business planning Support optometrists with pre‑testing coordination and clinical workflow Ensure compliance with industry standards and practice policies Maintain accurate patient records and confidentiality Oversee front‑of‑house operations, ensuring exceptional customer care Handle escalated enquiries and resolve issues with professionalism and empathy Uphold Eyecare Plus Karalee’s reputation for friendly, personalised service About You You are a confident leader with excellent organisational and communication skills, capable of managing both people and systems with ease. You thrive in a role where no two days are the same and enjoy contributing to a positive patient and team experience. Essential Skills & Experience Experience in practice management, retail management, or similar leadership role Strong organisational and multitasking skills Proven ability to lead and support a team Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Competence with practice management or POS systems (Sunix preferred) A patient‑focused mindset and commitment to outstanding service Preferred Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing (highly regarded) Experience in an optometry or healthcare setting Knowledge of optical products, lens solutions, and eyewear styling Why Join Us?
