Technical Business Analyst (Data & Analytics) APS6 Technical Business Analyst – Data & Analytics (Sydney) Location: Sydney, NSW | Hybrid Employment Type: Full-time, 37.5 hours/week | 12-month contract Salary: Competitive – reflective of skills and experience About The Role We are seeking experienced APS6 Technical Business Analysts to join a strategic Data & Analytics transformation program. In this role, you will deliver high-quality business and technical requirements, collaborate with stakeholders, and support the development of data products and solutions aligned with business goals. Key Responsibilities Develop and validate business and technical requirements for data projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Collaborate with stakeholders, facilitate workshops, and document processes and data flows to support data solutions. Review design documents and contribute to the implementation of solutions that meet business and technical outcomes. Apply Agile, Hybrid, or Waterfall delivery frameworks using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Essential Criteria Demonstrated expertise leading hands‑on business and technical requirement development in large‑scale Data & Analytics programmes. Experience implementing data and analytics products and services, including data architecture (Data Models, ETL, governance, security). Proven ability to analyse business processes and data flows, providing context for technical requirements. Strong analytical skills to translate business data into actionable insights. Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Practical experience with Agile, Hybrid, or Waterfall frameworks. Desirable Criteria Experience working with diverse project teams, vendors, and in‑house developers to deploy complex integrated technologies. Experience as a Scrum Master. Knowledge of SAS Viya 4 platform. Hands‑on data analysis skills (SQL, Python), including source‑to‑target mapping and data lineage. Eligibility Australian citizens only – proof of citizenship required during pre‑engagement checks. Must be able to obtain Baseline security clearance.
