Maintenance Officer

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Officer to join our team. The Maintenance Officer will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the smooth operation of our maintenance department. This individual will be in charge of performing routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and inspections to ensure that our facilities and equipment are well-maintained and in proper working order. Job Title Maintenance Officer Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment to identify any maintenance issues Perform repairs and maintenance tasks as needed, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building repairs Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for more complex repairs and maintenance tasks Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs Ensure that all maintenance work is completed in a timely and efficient manner Maintain a clean and organized work environment Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely manner Assist with the development and implementation of maintenance plans and schedules Provide input on budgeting and cost‑saving initiatives related to maintenance activities Qualifications Proven experience as a Maintenance Officer or similar role Strong knowledge of building maintenance and repair techniques Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other building systems Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must be able to lift heavy objects and work on ladders or in confined spaces Valid driver’s license Certification in maintenance or a related field is a plus Who we are As one of Australia’s largest employers, we work with great companies all around Australia and New Zealand to give you the best opportunities to work when and where you want.
