We have been operating for over 20 years delivering residential and commercial projects. Gabcon Holdings is looking for a BookKeeper/Payroll officer / Admin officer with a background in construction to join their close knit team environment. About the role We are seeking an experienced BookKeeper/Payroll Officer/Administrator to join the team at Gabcon Holdings' construction company in Prospect, NSW. This full‑time role will be responsible for managing the company's financial records, processing payroll, and providing general administrative support to the wider business. What you'll be doing Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable. Processing payroll for all employees, including calculating wages, deductions, and leave entitlements. Providing administrative support, such as managing correspondence, filing, and data entry. Liaising with external stakeholders, such as contractors, suppliers, and government agencies. Assisting with the preparation of financial reports and statements. Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations. Providing support to the wider team as required. What we're looking for Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar bookkeeping or payroll role, preferably within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, as well as payroll processing. Proficiency in using accounting software, MYOB. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders. Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
